Drop for Spots: Hamerton Zoo Park Sky Diving for CCF UK

**Update 30th May 2017: We are so saddened to hear the news that Rosa King, a keeper at Hamerton Zoo Park, lost her life yesterday. Rosa was a friend of CCF and was involved in raising and donating money to help save the cheetah. She was due to complete this parachute jump for CCF UK in just six weeks time. Our thoughts are with her friends and family at this terribly sad time.**

Skydiving on 6th July to raise funds for Cheetah Conservation Fund UK because wild cheetahs desperately need our help!

At the end of 2016 a report was released stating that cheetah numbers had fallen dramatically and that there was now believed to be fewer than 7000 individuals remaining in the wild, with some more isolated populations deemed so low that they are functional extinct.

Hamerton Zoo Park is home to 10 captive bred cheetah and has been a passionate supporter of CCF for over a decade. On hearing the news we decided we needed to up the ante with this years fundraising efforts.

5 keepers – head keeper Katherine, carnivore keeper Rosa, cover keeper Amy, primate keeper Max and education officer Ben – will be skydiving from 13,000 feet, dropping at 120 mph before their parachutes open at 5000 feet.

We hope to raise enough to provide 2 farmers with a dog each and help with educating local people. If you would like to help the keepers reach their target take a look at their Just Giving page! Even the smallest donation will go a long way to helping protect wild cheetahs, and will serve as great encouragement for our nervous skydivers! We thank you for taking the time to read this and supporting us in any way you can.
