Our fantastic Young Ambassador Jeremy has had a very busy few months in Cheltenham. Jeremy runs his own Cards 4 Cheetahs initiative, where he hand makes cards to sell and raise money for CCF UK. he’s been hard at work raising money to save the cheetah.
For my Cards 4 Cheetahs initiative I have placed boxes full of my handmade cards in three Costa coffee shops, a Starbucks, a Black Gold, a Cafe Nero, and The Great British Boutique, all in the town of Cheltenham. The cards are for sale and all profits go to the Cheetah Conservation Fund UK, or people can make a donation without buying a card. Thanks to the support from all the loyal patrons of these local cafés and shops in Cheltenham, I have raised over £800 through the sale of my cards over the past few months!
I recently jumped at the chance to raise money for the cheetah during a very special local event that happened in Cheltenham earlier this month – the Cheltenham Festival. During festival time, I set up a stand outside my friend Marj’s house to sell my cards and gather donations from race-goers. By doing this, I raised £1,900 in just 3 days! A special thank you to my friend Marj who lets me use her driveway to raise money for my favourite big cat!
I will be at Bradt’s Big Cat Festival next month, and my cards will be for sale on the CCF UK stand. I look forward to seeing some of you there!
The money Jeremy has raised will go towards feeding and caring for the cheetah cubs that have recently been confiscated from the illegal wildlife pet trade in Somaliland and are being cared for by our partners on the ground.
