Alison is currently volunteering at CCF Namibia from the United Kingdom as a working guest. While there, she will be sharing her daily experiences with us so that we can have a first-hand look at what life is like as a CCF volunteer!
‘Very sad that I’m leaving CCF tomorrow. The good thing is that before I leave for a cold and dark England I am spending a couple of days at Erindi Private Nature Reserve. The reserve is massive – around four times the size of the county of West Sussex. It’s a bit posh, but as a CCF volunteer I got a good discount which is nice.’
‘I am also looking forward to rest and luxury! If I am really lucky I might see some of the cheetahs that CCF have rewilded on Erindi – some have done really well and have successfully raised their own cubs in the wild. It has been a great experience here but definitely not for the faint hearted – hard work in hot temperatures – but very rewarding.’
Alison has been sending daily reports from CCF Namibia to tell us all about her experience and the amazing things she has been doing – see the full list of here blogs here.
