Join our Cheetah Community and help raise awareness and valuable funds to save the cheetah

Cheetah Communities are locally based groups of volunteers that work as a team to design, run and lead activities and events which  raise awareness and funds for cheetah conservation.

If you’re passionate about saving cheetahs, enjoy running events, giving talks, building community relationships and working in a team then we have the perfect roles for you.

We are recruiting for six volunteer positions based in the Brighton area:
 
Community Chair 1x vacancy
Working with your local ‘Cheetah Community’ you could do one, or all, of the following activities:
  • To interview, induct*, supervise and support a group of 6-8 volunteers 
  • To build and lead a collaborative team working together to create local awareness raising and fundraising events, and campaigns 
  • To promote upcoming fundraising opportunities the community can be part of
  • To actively support or organise participation at events, walks, and collections
  • To deliver talks to local community groups, schools, Rotary Clubs, faith groups etc. about the work of CCF and CCF UK and the ways in which they will support the charity
  • To lead a ‘community’ team meeting each month and ensure these are planned and managed effectively

About the role: CCF UK Cheetah Community Chair

Community Deputy Chair/Treasurer 1x vacancy
Working with your local ‘Cheetah Community’ you could do one, or all, of the following activities:
  • To keep accurate financial records of income and expenditure 
  • To oversee the production of an annual budget and regularly review the Cheetah Community’s fundraising performance
  • To support the Chair in the running and administration of ‘community’ team meetings 
  • To regularly report the financial position to the Chair, to the Treasurer and Executive Director CCF UK, and at Cheetah Community team meetings. 
  • To support the Chair with the recruitment process of Cheetah Community Team Members
  • To actively support or organise participation at events, walks, and collections
  • To deliver talks to local community groups, schools, Rotary Clubs, faith groups etc. about the work of the CCF UK and the ways in which they could support our work
Cheetah Community Member 4 x Vacancies

Working with your local ‘Cheetah Community’ you could do one, or all, of the following activities:

  • Arranging and organising new fundraising activities or events
  • Actively supporting or organising participation at events, walks, and collections
  • Delivering talks to local community groups, schools, Rotary Clubs, faith groups etc. about the work of the CCF UK and the ways in which they could support our work
  • Promoting upcoming fundraising opportunities your community can get involved in
  • Supporting people who raise money for us

Training, support and guidance will be provided for both roles
